#60 - IT Project Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project (EDP, Information Systems, Systems Analysis, Computer Programming) to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters: Reviews project proposal/plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project; establishes work plan for complete development life cycle of project; assigns duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority; directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget; reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required; prepares project reports for management, client, or others; confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems; also plays a key role in global product launches, product phase out planning, product support and maintenance, and field sales, customer support and training. Relocation/ telecommuting may be required plus travel to various unanticipated client locations within the United States for short- and long-term assignments.

EDUCATION

Master’s degree in computer science/computer application/engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electronics). Will accept bachelor’s degree in computer science/computer application/engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electronics) plus five (5) years of progressive experience in related fields in lieu of Master’s Degree. Will accept foreign education equivalent.
